Audi introduced their R8 LMS in 2015 as their GT3 class car, replacing the highly successful R8 LMS Ultra. The V10 powered track machine is one of the most popular amongst customer racing teams, taking P1 finishes at all the main endurance races including Nürburgring, Spa, Bathurst, Dubai and Suzuka.

Team Hitotsuyama took their first victory in their 16 season history of racing in Super GT and JGTC in 2016, in their stunning grey, red and gold livery. The team finished 3rd place in both Team and Driver categories in the 2016 Super GT season
